“The draft Natural Environment Sustainability Strategy (PDF 3.8MB) is Council’s commitment to preserve, protect, restore and enhance the natural environment across Bass Coast for the next 10 years.
This plan will provide the opportunity for Council to demonstrate leadership for the community, a clear strategic approach, continuity of service delivery, and long term financial planning and investment of resources.
The Strategy will help successive Council’s identify and prioritise environment sustainability activities across the Shire, and will increase the capacity and understand of environment sustainability issues in the community.
Council is keen to receive feedback from community members, businesses operators, potential investors and anyone else who can contribute to the draft Strategy.

Public forums will be held in Wonthaggi and Cowes for members of the public to come along and have their say.
