From the Phillip Island Nature Parks today: “The award-winning Penguins Plus viewing platform has continued on its winning way as it received the Award for Excellence in Tourism at the 2016 National Landscape Architecture Awards, held at the National Arboretum Canberra yesterday.
In awarding this honour, the jury noted the beautiful detail of this viewing platform and the manner in which it sits sympathetically within the coastal landscape, providing a prototype for developments in sensitive landscapes. The jury also commented on the importance and relevance of the comprehensive Summerland Peninsula Master Plan which informed the design and implementation of this project.”
