PICS augments Red Rocks Coast Care, which is why we bring you news of what’s going on there.
Red Rocks is a major family beach on Phillip Island, and is also significant in being one of the few remnant stands of Moonah trees in Victoria, and also home to some huge old Banksias.
Recently a RRCC volunteer presented RRCC co-ordinator extraordinaire John Eddy with an 1880s framed map of PI and the Western Port region in appreciation for all John does. PICS agrees, and has nominated John for Outstanding Individual Achievement in this year’s Coast Care awards.
Below is lovely sketch of Red Rocks Moonahs is by PICS c/ee member and sustainable architect Terry Nott.
